Our Story

Pastor Larry Lee and his wife, Donna, founders of The Master's Touch Academy, have long had a desire to reach out to children with special needs and their families. This burden came as the result of their daughter, Christa, being born with a hole in her heart. At nine weeks old, she suffered two strokes during emergency heart surgery. The strokes left her with severe and multiple disabilities.

Although the doctors gave the family little hope their baby would live, God had other plans. Although her disabilities have remained with her, Christa is a happy
teenager. She lives at home with her parents and brothers, Jonathon and Stephen. Despite her disabilities, Christa has a love for life and enjoys people and music most of all.

Because of the challenges involved with finding appropriate education experiences for Christa, the Lee's have prayerfully committed themselves to opening a school for children with special needs. Larry and Donna realize the importance of these special children having a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. The Master's Touch Academy is the beginning of fulfilling this vision.
